Heading to a lido tomorrow while the weathers still warm. The plan has struck the fear of god in to me.

What’s that Lucy? You sneaky thing, you bought a heart rate monitor and didn’t tell any of us. Yeah it was my payday treat. Today was its first trip, and already it’s had two goes. To be fair, if the weather hadn’t been so warm I would have made it a long session instead of 2 shorter ones but it’s just soso warm at the minute. Anyhow, I got up and went for a 2.3 mile run, it was good apart from the last .2 miles. I just couldn’t wait to finish, I know i need to pace myself better, It’s points like this when I wonder how the hell I’ll run 13.1 miles, y’know? Anyhow I came home and sat on my doorstep in the sun eating frozen raspberries sipping juice and reading the mocking jay. Yes I have also jumped on the hunger games bandwagon #noshame. On my run I burnt about 250-260 calories, the heart rate monitor had also recorded my warm up walk which was an extra 20-30 calories. Later on in the afternoon I braved my first day of stage 2 of the 30 day shred. It was a big step up. Sorry to be gross but the sweat was dripping off me. Regardless I survived and burnt around 250 calories. Now to eat…again.

My weekend, couldn’t really be defined as healthy, but it was lovely, I spent all Saturday with my sister, having outdoor picnics, window shopping and then getting frozen yoghurt and going to see singin in the rain! Then on Sunday I met up with one of my best friends for breakfast ( I had sourdough toast and rhubarb jam, so good) then I lay out in the sun in the park reading and sunbathing for about 4 or 5 hours. And in the evening I made smores with my housemate. It was really really lovely. Xxx

It’s sooooo hot in London, mah gahd.
My five night shifts were Ok but hard and sad.
I skipped exercise on two of the days, but yesterday, after I’d finished and on 3 hours sleep, I did the 30dayshred.
Yesterday I also went on a trip to the brand new whole foods market in picadilly circus, it’s so biiiig. I need to go back when I’m more prepared and less sleep deprived!
This morning I got up and I went for a run. And run I did, for two miles straight with no stopping, 19 minutes 17 seconds. It felt good, I felt good to have done thought and hopeful for the future training, 2 miles straight, 11.1 to go……
Then I did my last day of level 1 on the 30dayshred.
Level 2 tomorrow. Ruh oh.
I was so sweaty. It was quite disgusting.
Now I’m heading in to Brixton for the afternoon to get my new glasses, think I might get an ice-cream!xx

Welcome back to me

Hai friends, sorry for the major lack in postage, I decided to take a bit of a break from tumblr as it, plus just coming back to London from home made me feel really down.
Anyhow, being at home and indulging etc resulted in a 3 1/2 lb gain, I was sad and in a funk, but I got over it, I was sitting at 140, now I’m at 138.8, could be better but I’ll deal.
Also last week I met up with one of my old friends from home who lives in London and the discussion got down to weight, she told me I looked really good, (as did she) anyhow we’ve both lost weight since moving over to London, she couldnt believe I weighed what I told her, the same goes for my housemate who’s trying to lose weight, she’s around the same weight as me but 1-2 sizes bigger, I am really beginning to understand the whole muscle composition shiz.
And then my other housemate couldn’t believe that I’d originally ordered my work uniform in a size 12(uk) she was like’ there’s no way you’re every size 12’
So anyhow, I decided to buckle down, I’ve been trying to eat healthily whilst still allowing for life to intervene and exercising too, I’m almost through with week 5 of the c25k and I’m almost finished week 1of the 30 day shred alongside 2 wii Zumba sessions.
I’m about to start 5 night shifts so hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with good food and some moderate exercise.

Swear to god every 10 minutes the door on this fast moving train gives a very sharp, loud shmacking thud and I fully have a shit fit. Nobody else even flinches.
